The Dark KnightOur group has taken inspiration from The Dark Knight poster, mainly from the glowing bat symbol on the building. We feel that the symbol itself really emphasis the title of the film and helps the viewer to link this poster with all the other 'Batman' films.
We also particularly like the camera angle used to frame Christian Bale. The 'Worm's eye view' shows how he is a dominant protagonist within the film. Moreover, the glowing bat symbol on the building immediately draws the viewer in to the centre of the image, meaning that it acts as a focus point for the poster as a whole. We also like the use of the clouds and smoke at the top of the screen. In our poster, we intend to replicate the use of smoke by using it at the bottom to act as a background for title and other advertising features of our film.

Mad Max
This poster is similar to that of 'The Dark Knight', however, the difference is a large use of vehicles in the background and a long shot of the film's protagonist facing them. The customised vehicles and the warm, dark lighting help the audience to understand that this is an action film, and that the film will contain many stereotypical action film traits, such as car chases and gun battles. Furthermore the smoky effect that has been put behind the large vehicle gives the feel that there is much more danger that is yet to face the main protagonist who stands there on his own. The words "what a lovely day" has been put on the top of the poster, showing a complete contract to the action that is shown below. However, the most obvious part of the poster that we like, is the ominous orange glow that gives an immediate impression of danger. We intend to use something like this on our poster.
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
In our opinion, this film is the one that relates closet to our trailer. In the poster we can see all the main characters that take part in the film. Also, the positions of the characters suggest their level of importance throughout the movie. Furthermore almost all of the characters possess weapons in the poster, emphasising the action genre of the film. The colour scheme in the poster is also quite dark, suggesting a sinister, dangerous atmosphere within the film. Even though it isn't the most obvious and important part of this poster, we very much like the font used. This font is trademarked with the G.I Joe films, and can be seen on most if not all of their posters. This is something we would like to create. Therefore, on our poster, we are going to use the title font that was used in the actual trailer.

The Bourne Legacy
This film poster is somewhat different to the others. It features only the film's protagonist, hidden behind a slider effect to represent secrecy. This suggests a film based more around an agent, than a collective, however, some of the techniques used here can be used in our favour, such as the white writing on the black areas of the poster. Moreover, we like the use of the actors names at the bottom in a thin, streamline font, which we think, could represent professionalism. Overall, the colour scheme of the whole poster suggests a sleek atmosphere. We like this very much as it links somewhat with the "007" franchise, suggesting that there is a secret story to the whole film. From this poster specifically, we very much like the use of the tag line which has been blended into the slider effect.

Kingsman
The last poster we have taken inspiration from is the 'Kingsman' poster. We like the use of explosions and weapons because it clearly outlines to the viewer, that this film is of the action genre. Moreover, this poster features all the film's main characters, which is useful for a group of 4 people such as us.
We also like the use of colour here; on a black background, the explosions in the middle draw the viewer in, focussing their attention into the middle, where they can see key image from the film. furthermore the poster uses the films logo to focus the attention on the middle of the poster. Moreover, the black and gold colour scheme is reminiscent of the "Bourne legacy" film poster. It presents a sleek, professional and secretive atmosphere, and it is something that can be clearly related to that particular film.
